Mr Aruna Rajakaruna is a self-taught wildlife photographer in Sri Lanka. His passion for photography as a teenager became a reality when he purchased his first SLR camera during the days he was working as a banker. His keen interest towards nature made him to pursue his photography towards wildlife. After leaving the Bank now he is a full time wildlife photographer. His frequent visits to the Ruhuna (Yala) National Park gave him the opportunity to explore the delightful world of nature, which in turn gave him the necessary experience of becoming a wildlife photographer. Like most other photographer his frequent visits to the National Parks in Sri Lanka and recognizing his talent for photography made him gradually to add more expensive cameras and accessories to his set of equipment related to photography. At present Aruna does wildlife photography as a hobby and it gives him immense joy and satisfaction.
